Nigerian former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala makes history, emerges Director General of World Trade Organization (WTO).In a statement released by the WTO on Monday, February 15th confirmed her appointment as the first female and African to become the Director General of the organization.

Her endorsement by the United States of America and the withdrawal of the South Korean Trade Minister and candidate, Too Myung-hee, cleared the path for her to come in.
