#EndSARS: Shehu Sani, a former senator and representative of Kaduna Central, has shown concern over the stealing of Lagos monarch’s office staff and has urged those involved to respect the throne and return it.
Lagos State monarch, Oba Riliwan Akinolu’s office staff was stolen during the current #EndSARS protest in Lagos by some unidentified angry youths.
In a tweet on Friday, October 23, the former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has urged the hoodlums who took away the staff to respect the sanctity of the throne and return it.
Details reaching Insidegist9ja from respondant proved that the hoodlums who attacked the office also destroyed other vehicles and properties in the palace, located at Iga Idugaran area of Lagos Island.
The hoodlums seized the king’s staff of office commonly called ‘Opa Ase‘ with reports suggesting that the same thugs were the ones who set the home of Lagos State Governor, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu ablaze.
Insidegist9ja also gathered that the hoodlums claimed right for their actions, Saying that the king is a politician and deserved to be punished for the bad governance in the country.
Due to this act, the senator appealed to them to return the staff. In his words
“whoever carted away the staff of the Oba and his shoe should please respect the throne and return it.”
The senator also spoke on the cruel act and inhuman attempt by the government to keep Covid-19 palliatives away from citizens despite the hunger in the land.
“It’s cruel, inhuman and soulless for the government agencies to keep such stockpiles of foodstuffs while millions of people go to bed hungry. “Why keeping palliatives items in store when people are hungry during and after lockdown?”
